What does it take to thrive for 75 years in the jewelry industry?

Some people might say they did it all on their own, pulling themselves up by their bootstraps and listing their accomplishments.

However, as Jewel-Craft marks our 75-year milestone, we prefer to take a moment to reflect on our history and the people who’ve supported us along the way.

We always remember our humble beginnings. In 1947, Earl Wesdorp founded the company in his small garage attic. He didn’t start with much more than a pinch of money, some old tools and a heap of passion for serving his customers. In 1950, Earl’s son Bob and his wife Dot jumped on board, solidifying the foundation of the business. Their sons, Gary and Benet, later took over, successfully overseeing the expansion of Jewel-Craft throughout the U.S., as well as into other countries. Today, the third generation of the Wesdorp family continues the Jewel-Craft legacy.

Through the years, we’ve seen the company grow and flourish. In that time, one thing has remained constant. We love jewelry. Every single day, our team adores honoring, persevering and sharing the craft of jewelry. Through our extensive services, Jewel-Craft can restore a piece’s lustrous shine, create something magnificent from scratch, add a small but significant personal touch and more.

Along the way, we’ve had incredible support from our loyal customers. With wonderful partners like ours, it’s easy to be grateful. While performing each service, we’re dedicated to making the lives of our partners easier. That way, they can focus on what’s truly important for their business.

Additionally, we’re blessed to have the most amazing employees. Our hardworking Pit Crew ensures that the integrity and artistry of Jewel-Craft’s services remain second-to-none. It’s no secret that they’re the heart and soul of our company.

As we celebrate our 75th year anniversary, there’s so much to be thankful for. We’ve had so many incredible opportunities and appreciate how far Jewel-Craft has come since our modest beginnings. As we commemorate this milestone, our team looks forward to the next 75 years and beyond.

I just wanted to take a minute to express “Much Thanks” to the team of people that take care of me on a daily basis. Alyssa, Stephanie, and Lisa are always on top of things for me. For the last couple of weeks, after I told them that I’m preparing to go on my first vacation in over a year, I’ve noticed that they’ve been working very hard to meet (and usually beat) my deadlines to help ensure that I can vacation worry-free about my jewelry repairs. That means so much to me.

If I need a shank that is 2.35mm wide and provide my own diamonds, Jewel Craft follows all of my design details and makes the ring 2.35mm wide and sets the diamonds to perfection.
